Biostars
Description
Biostars: Bioinformatics Explained is a question and answer forum where researchers can obtain answers to questions ranging from simple to advanced in the fields of bioinformatics, computational genomics, and biological data analysis.
The developers of Biostars have also created a multi-volume handbook with a question to answer format designed to teach practical skills in bioinformatics. You can follow along with the examples in the book by downloading associated data and installing suggested software.
Each volume is also available for download as a .pdf.
The current volumes are as follows:
-
The Biostar Handbook - An introduction to Bioinformatics as a scientific field.
