Welcome to the BTEP Generative AI in Bioinformatics Seminar Series

This training series introduces bioinformatics researchers to generative AI tools, from chat based assistants to agentic coding environments, and how to apply them responsibly in real world data analysis. Participants will learn practical prompting and workflow design skills, explore hands-on examples, and examine best practices for validating AI generated outputs, all while building the judgment to use these tools effectively and responsibly.

Seminar Schedule

September 23, 2026 - A Practical Introduction to Generative AI for Bioinformatics (Alex Emmons, BTEP, Joe Wu, BTEP) (Recording)
