At the Sequencing Facility, NCI researchers are provided access to the latest sequencing technologies. Once sequencing is completed, our job begins. CCBR receives compressed raw fastq files directly from the Sequencing Facility via Globus. These files are then mounted from Globus onto Biowulf where the bulk of the analysis is performed, generally using CCBR Pipeliner. Lastly, the results of the analysis and any other pertinent files are delivered to the Principal Investor.
For long-term storage, raw data is moved to Globus archive. In the near future, Cleversafe Object Storage will be used for long-term storage.
If possible, we encourage the making your biological sequencing data available to the research community. Please visit SRA or GEO for more information.
