STATA file backups
Hello! I\'m using STATA18 and every time I save a DO file, the next time I go to open the file I get a pop-up asking if I want to use the recovered version. It also looks like temporary files are being saved. I\'ve tried doing both \"Save\" and \"Save As\" to replace older versions of the file but I\'m concerned there\'s an issue in the way that I\'m saving things

Dear Caroline,
We received your BTEP FAQ submission. Apparently, this is a new feature for STATA18, which automatically creates file backups. See this thread (https://www.statalist.org/forums/forum/general-stata-discussion/general/1719057-issue-with-running-a-do-file-in-stata-se-18-for-mac-ios). It appears that you can modify the behavior if you want.
