The Bioinformatics Training and Education Program is pleased to announce the Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Research at NIH Seminar Series. Starting on Feb 29, these monthly events will be recorded and made available in the BTEP Video Archive. Please navigate to the seminar homepage for all upcoming and past events in this seminar series. Each past event will also contain a link to the recording for your convenience.
The goal of this seminar series is to showcase the various efforts within NIH that are using AI. The topics (so far) will cover explainable AI and single cell genomics, data harmonization and data discovery, and Chat GPT in healthcare and medicine.
This series features speakers from within intramural NIH, from various institutes and centers (CARD, NEI, NIEHS, NLM). We are still recruiting for the seminar series and have summer and fall dates available. If you are interested in participating, please contact ncibtep@nih.gov.
To help you learn more about AI, there are several recommended courses on the Coursera learning platform. Licenses to Coursera are provided by the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) and are available to anyone within intramural NIH with a nih.gov email address. To obtain a Coursera license, please send email to ncibtep@nih.gov
Recommended beginner-level Coursera AI courses include AI for Everyone, Python for Data Science, AI, and Development, and IBM’s Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI). We hope to see you at the seminar series this year!
