About this Class

This class introduces participants to the first steps to differential expression analysis in bulk RNA sequencing which involves filtering out noise from (ie. genes without expression across samples) and performing QC on the gene expression estimates. QC steps help scientists determine whether there are technical errors and outliers in the data. This class is hands-on, and attendees will be assigned Biowulf student accounts to follow along with the exercises. Experience with bioinformatics or NGS analysis is not required to participate.
