About this Class

This talk will cover the basics of statistical resampling methods such as bootstrap, Monte Carlo, and permutations for estimating parameters and testing hypotheses.  We will discuss when you might want to use resampling methods in place of standard parametric or non-parametric statistics, types of cross-validation, and when to resample with or without replacement. This session will be recorded, and materials will be posted on the ABCS training site and will also be shared with attendees a few days after the event. For details, please contact Natasha Pacheco (natasha.pacheco@nih.gov), Advanced Biomedical Computational Science (ABCS) group, Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.
