About this Class
Alignment of RNA sequencing data enables researchers to identify where in the genome each sequence came from. However, it does not inform of how many sequences aligned to each genomic feature such as a gene. After this class, attendees will be able to describe and used tools for estimating gene expression from RNA sequencing data. This class is hands-on, and attendees will be assigned Biowulf student accounts to follow along with the exercises. Experience with bioinformatics or NGS analysis is not required to participate.
