Introduction
Hi I'm Meredith and I work in the LCIM in Dr. Howard Young's lab. My research is on the role of regulatory T cells in our mouse model of lupus, and I'm hoping to learn how to generally work with Unix in this course.

Hi Meredith, Welcome to the Bioinformatics for Beginners Class - we are happy to have you! We'll be diving into Unix in today's class and hopefully give you a good foundation for bioinformatics. There are also some other resources I'll mention in class.
