This introductory lecture will provide an overview of bulk RNA-Seq technology, its various application and shortcomings, as well as detailing the steps involved in analyzing the resulting data. The talk is aimed at those with little or no experience with RNASEQ, and will cover the experimental design, quality control, sequencing platforms, analysis workflow, and software tools.
