Students will: 

  • Learn to chain commands with pipes, search files with grep, redirect output, and sort/filter results with sort and uniq 
  • Understand the module system for loading bioinformatics software, and the three main ways to run jobs on Biowulf: interactive sessions (sinteractive), batch jobs (sbatch), and job arrays (swarm)
